As a part of the executive board meeting in March, all attendances visited FACCSAs facilities outside of Malaga.
FACCSA (Frigorificos Andaluces de Conservas de Carne SA) witch one of the partners in the project, is one of the most important food manufacturers in the south of Spain, specialised in the production, cutting, packaging, and sales of pork meat. It currently processes ca. 25 000 pigs each week. The tour at the facilities concentrated particularly around the slaughter and other processes relevant to the project.
